I came across your article today and I would like to know if you personlly have used both versions, the cheap and Thirty One? I’ve been with the company 6 years now and have to say every penny I’ve spent has been worth it. I still have the first two Large a Utility Totes I bought 6 years ago and use them. Just because it’s cheaper that doesn’t mean it is better. Thirty Ones products actually hold up pretty well. I admit like any other company we do have some problems from time to time but they are good at helping customers fix these issues. You have a 90 day warrrenty and sometimes even after that they help.
Internally the “Auto EQ” algorithm compares the average peak level of the frequency bands with each of the bands and computes the necessary gain to apply to the EQ to bring the level of that specific band to match with the one of a carefully designed ideal response. This sounds complicated but it’s actually very effective in automatically balancing the frequency content of the mix.

The second algorithm is more complex and continuously look at the level of each frequency band and consequently updates the equalizer to reduce masking and keep the track balanced in ever single moment. If you use the plugin with this mode inside a broadcasting chain you can always guarantee a constant frequency optimized output even if the content of your audio changes a lot.
This is a great thirty one zipper closing tote. I actually used this once. however I just noticed part of the zipper seam has come lose.... please see photo there is an outside slit pocket on each side and inside there is a slit pocket on one inside wall and a zipper pocket. On each side wall there is a better pocket. Besides the zipper seam in one outside pocket there is a little black smudge.... must be from Storing in my car. Otherwise this was used one time and has no other wear. I am listing several bags and will gladly combine shipping. Email when done bidding.
